Welcome to the Phoenix Awards
Welcome to the Phoenix Awards! You might've known us formerly as the Veritas Awards. But now we're back, shiny, new, and better than ever!
The Phoenix Awards is a system of recognition for the best of the Camp Half-Blood fandom on FanFiction.Net. This includes both the original Percy Jackson & the Olympians series and the recently released Heroes of Olympus series.
Our "rounds" rotate between the seasons of summer and winter (click me for more information). We also have a blog that aids up-and-coming or already established writers with writing advice from published authors, writing contests, and more! (click me for more information.) In short, we want to recognize the most amazing fanfictions in the archive.
Poke around a bit. Have fun. Make someone's day. We won't bite.
Phoenix is currently on Round 11.

Updates
January 4, 2014
Salut! Judging on FM is officially open -- send in your application now! Remember, we can't start the round until all the categories have a judge.
November 16, 2013
Hello there, everybody! How's NaNo going for you, if you're participating? Hope you're doing great. Today is the day the winners are announced, and they are now up on the winners page! You should go check them (and the other noms) out because hey, there can never be too many good fanfictions, huh?
Also, there's a new Cup of Tea entry - go check it out!
October 27, 2013
Hello everyone! This recently came up in a discussion on the Cbox, and I thought we might as well give it a whirl. Project Phoenix is supposed to be more than Cup of Tea challenges, but so far it hasn't been, and this is meant to do its part in changing that. So the main idea here is to pick a really fantastic writer in the PJO fandom and ask them some questions. I'll put a poll up for the authors and you guys can vote for them! I'll choose the best, most common, most thoughtful, etc. questions and then PM them to the chosen author (should they agree to the interview.)

Voting is up! Everybody go vote for our wonderfully amazing nominations. Thanks for sticking with us, FM-goers. :)
October 20, 2013
Hey everyone! I'd like to thank all of you who rallied to nominate fics while FM's round was extended; now, unfortunately, we have a volume of noms that judges never returned to us, so we have to read them individually and decide from there. We are making lots of progress, though - just check out the category pages! Once-empty categories have two or three noms, plenty of fics for your reading pleasure. As a result of this volume, we have to postpone the voting for one more week to get everything ready. All will be ready by October 26 - I promise! Thank you for your infinite patience.
... but on the upside, 11 more days until Cup of Tea #4's prompts are posted! Something to look forward to. :)
September 24
Hey guys! I'd like to apologize for the super-late voting period. Let's just say things have been hectic, which has been no excuse. However, there is the fact that our nomination list is practically dead. How many of you have favorite stories? I'm sure those can fit into a category! FM can't stay afloat without your help, everybody. Go out and make someone's day! Thanks for all your help and support.

Cup of Tea winners have been announced! They've been posted on the Winners page, which you should go check out. Round 9 Winners have been moved to the Previous Rounds page. Also check out the main Cup of Tea #3 page, because everybody was awesome. I can honestly say that this was the hardest Cup of Tea winner decision so far, because the entries were just so good. Now I know what adults mean when saying that picking people for a team/cast/winner was really hard for them, because this definitely was for me. For the word prompt (Apocalypse), our winner is sing me a sweet siren remedy by faded harmony. For the picture prompt (Shooting Star), our winner is once upon a midnight dreary by little red cardigan. Check them and all the other entries out!
If you think they're awesome enough, you should definitely nominate them for some categories, a lot of which need some loving. September's coming up fast, guys! Make someone's day. (Also, to clarify, this is Round 10, NOT Round 9. Apologies for the confusion.)
PS. For those of you who haven't been reviewed yet by me, I'll have them all covered by the end of the week. The Cup of Tea Winners will be added to the community tomorrow. :)
